"Act Of War"
On Wednesday, September 18, 2019 The New York Times published an article titled"Pompeo Calls Attacks on Saudi Arabia ‘Act of War’ as Trump Tightens Iran Sanctions". The article goes over Secretary of state Mike Pompeo who accuses Iran of sending aerial strikes on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia over the weekend of Sept 13th - 15th. This being a huge accusation can be considered an "act of war" since Saudi Arabia is a leading oil exporter. The article goes on to say how military officials say there was evidence of Iran being responsible but unsure where the strike originated. The strikes are said to consist of about two dozen drones and cruiser missiles. This attacked temporarily cut Saudi oil processing in half and will have a great effect in the global scheme of things, but also worsening the tension between the United States and Iran.
